Happy New Year to everyone. I hope you
enjoyed your holidays with family and friends, your travel was safe and
you were able to rest. It’s hard to believe another year is over. Two
thousand and nine was one of the most challenging periods in our
lifetimes. Thank you for your continued support of our board.
The Spring Meeting at Virginia Beach was well attended. It was so well
attended that we almost out numbered the doctors. I want to thank the
Virginia Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons for our Annual Meeting
breakfast at the Hilton. The view was spectacular and the food was
wonderful. The board appreciates the member’s suggestions at the
meetings and will try to resolve any negative comments.
The Fall Meeting at VEI was also a huge success. Patti Winant did a
great job chairing the meeting with the help of all the board members.
Patti is our in-coming President and will take on that position at the
Spring Meeting. She is fun, on the ball and I know she will do a great
job for the VSOMP.
Our board is now planning for the upcoming Spring Meeting. Mark your
calendar for June 11-12, 2010. The meeting will be held at the Boar’s
Head Inn in Charlottesville. If you have any questions, please do not
