A Letter from our President,

Hello Everyone,
I hope this newsletter finds everyone in good spirits and health. Your VSOMP
Board have been hard at work planning the Annual meeting, scheduled for June
12-13, 2009. The meeting will be held at the Virginia Beach Convention
Center. Speakers and workshops are now being lined up for Friday and
Saturday. We have a dissection lab scheduled and our speaker needs an
accurate count so everyone will have an opportunity to
participate. Please get your dues and registration forms in asap. The VSO/VSOMP
have a block of rooms reserved at the Hilton 31st street (oceanfront). The
special rate is $179.00, when making reservations at the Hilton, please let
them know you are with the VSO/VSOMP group. It is with great pleasure to
inform you that we have a new in-coming president, Patti Winant. Patti
has already been serving on our board as a director. With Patti's
experience, I know she will continue to do a great job. Patti chaired our
Fall 2008 Continuing Education Meeting and provided a very enjoyable and
informative meeting. Nominations for board positions will be accepted at our
Annual Business
Meeting which will be held in conjunction with our breakfast on Saturday,
June 13 2009 at the Hilton, 31st street from 7:30 - 8:30a.m.

A Letter from our In-coming
President, Patti Winant
Hi everyone,
I am both excited and nervous about my new position. Those of you who know
me realize this is so out of my comfort zone. Coming on the heels of Gerri
and Shirley, who are both outstanding people, it is a little daunting. I
hope I can live up to everyone's expectations. The year is off to a great
start. The board is busy working on the spring meeting in Virginia Beach. If
anyone has any comments, suggestions or ideas, please do not hesitate to
contact either myself or one of the board members.
