EXPANDING HIGH VOLUME OPHTHALMOLOGY PRACTICE is seeking a Director of Clinical Operations for our progressive, expanding practice located in the Beautiful Chesapeake Bay area of Hampton Roads.  We are located just 45 minutes from Colonial Williamsburg, minutes from the Virginia Beach oceanfront and recreational complex a short drive to the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Director of Clinical Operations will directly manage over 30 well trained certified ophthalmic technicians and manage four offices, with seven MD’s and one OD. This person will be a member of the Practice’s Management Committee and report directly to the Chief Executive Officer/ Practice Administrator.

Some of the duties will be to mediate meetings, implement Q/A studies, train new staff, conduct performance evaluations yearly, monitor budget, etc…. 

Current certification designation is required and a Bachelor of Arts in related field a plus but not required. A minimum of seven years of direct experience in a large ophthalmic practice with hands on management experience required.
